When I’m out and about like at family occasions etc and people who I haven’t seen for a while come up to me and ask me ‘what It is I do for a living’ a generally say something Like ‘oh I sell things on the internet’ or ‘ simply tell them I make a living on the internet and then move on quickly in the hope that they will not ask too many questions.’

I don’t know why – but I always feel a bit awkward trying to explain what I do for a living.

It happened to me the other day while I was pushing the trolley around the super market. I ran into an old school friend who I hadn’t seen for about ten years.

He said ’so Mike what do you do for a living these days?’ As usual I ’said I’m making a living on the internet selling things’ and to my surprise he said ‘oh that’s funny that’s what I’m doing too’.

As it happens he was making quite a decent living from a really cool niche that he new a lot about. This hasn’t been an isolated incident neither Within the last 6 months quite a few people have Come up to me and mentioned that they have a ‘Side line business’ as well.

I think more and more people are realising the Power of the internet and how it can let you Experiment with the internet and that the only thing stopping you is YOUR imagination.

Lets face it you have nothing to loose and everything to gain by flexing your entrepreneurial skills even if you don’t think you have any.

My advice would be GIVE IT A GO – because if you don’t you may well end up regretting it for the rest of your life.
